a-emotional light is our way of understanding light. We experiment, design and innovate, establishing a dialogue between light and space. It is our way of seeing the world, illuminating moments of life, creating lamps that generate emotions.

This is what our 2021 has been like!

Emotions has not stopped this year. We started with changes, we launched our evo-lution movement and with it came a lot of novelties. New brand, new website, new collections and new incorporations of other lamp families.

Cambo, a new point of view of nature by cenlitrosmetrocadrado

Cambo is the design resulting from the collaboration with the cenlitrosmetrocadrado studio. The word Cambo (of Galician origin) refers to a wooden piece with a hook at one end, a handcrafted element present in the Galician tradition.

We have returned to an event for the first time after the health crisis and it has been very exciting. a emotional light has seen the light of day at Decorhotel 2021.

For the first time since the beginning of the evo-lution movement, we have been with you to present our new collections and the launches we have made in 2021. From 21 October to 23 October we received hundreds of visitors at the Parque das Nações fairgrounds in Lisbon.

Professionals of interior design, decoration, architects and specialists in the contract sector saw live our new lamps. Cambo, Agasallo, Inn, Lea, Hipatia, Gea …. Several collections accompanied the stands of our friends.

Discover the inner beauty of Inn, our new collection

Inn is the new proposal of a-emotional light developed entirely by our design team. A conical shape in which past, present and future come together. In this design, the stainless steel mesh remains the protagonist. Its folds come together to reach a common point: light.

MAREA, THE STAND-OUT PROJECT AT THE FIRST EDITION OF THE ARTURO ÁLVAREZ AWARD

The critique of the state of the oceans along with the re-utilisation of materials have led to Judit Rozas Cabanas being proclaimed the winner of the 1st Arturo Alvarez Award for young talents. Today, 24 April, the verdict of the competition held this past 21 November has become a matter of public record. This past 17 April, Marea, having the most lights made by hand in a manner respectful of the environment, positioned itself as the winner from amongst the five chosen projects.

SHINING A LIGHT ON THE FINALISTS OF THE 1ST ARTURO ÁLVAREZ PRIZE

Energy, evocation and social critique are all characteristics of the designs that these 5 very creative young people have submitted to the 1st Arturo Álvarez Prize for young talent. On 21 November, the call went out and today we announce that Karen Eva Azagoury Lutwak, Paula Coll Iturriaga, Daniel Quiñones Torres, Judit Rozas Cabanas and Francisco Miguel Ángel Ygoa Fernández de Castro are the finalists of the first edition of the prize.

DESIGN CATALOGUE 2018. NEW FINISHES, WITH GREATER CHROMATIC FLEXIBILITY

Over the last year, we have spent a lot of time exploring how to improve our designs and adapt them to our clients’ requirements. This has taken us to renew the finish for the collections in SIMETECH® (steel mesh covered with pigmented silicone), replacing it with PAINTED STAINLESS STEEL MESH, a finish that was already in use in our Tempo, Ura and Onn collections.

ARTURO ALVAREZ LIGHTS UP THE ENOR ARCHITECTURE AWARDS

The Premio de Arquitectura Ascensores Enor is a renowned prize in the field of architecture in the Iberian Peninsula. One more year we had the opportunity to light up the awards ceremony. The VII edition was held last 4 December in the headquarters of Enor in Vigo.

A composition of 8 lamps from our Coral collection were set on the stage. In the hall, a group of 5 of these lighting designs helped to create an atmosphere of warm welcome and encounter for the professionals who attended the gala.

PROJECT: “O ROMAÑO” CIVIC CENTER. SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Surrounded by little houses and a green landscape, the new civic centre of O Romaño –in Santiago de Compostela, close to our atelier– rises up like a compact and sober piece which adapts to the scale of the place. Two of our lamp designs, V and Fluo, light its spaces, projected to highlight the cultural and social encounter.
